| It's probably really nice in "ideal world" but this is the real world and no matter how good something is, people will skimp to save money. That or find various other reasons not to do something beneficial. Regardless of what you or I think is the "best" way to do something, changing that piping is not something many do now or will ever do. You don't see K&N doing intake test results by increasing the throttlebody and tossing their results into that.  As such, I think it'd be a good business move to do apple to apple testing. Adhering to a strict policy of comparision is the only way to go...everything else is grey and leaves room for doubt.  But that would just be logical.
